Hi, I’m Mabeth. I look forward to meeting you!

I am passionate about helping people nurture the often-overlooked spiritual dimension of being human. Through my leadership and writing, I encourage people to listen to their inner wisdom, discover meaningful connections, grow through challenges, and better love and be loved in the nitty-gritty of everyday life. My favorite themes focus on joy, transition, aging gracefully, and spiritual companioning.

Mabeth Hudson began her career as a business attorney while raising three children. In her late 30s, she felt a deep calling to serve in a new way and entered an intentional discernment process. This led her to leave her legal practice and, in 2002, co-found Well for the Journey, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing spiritual well-being through community and meaningful programs.

For over 25 years, Mabeth has been writing and leading workshops, retreats, and classes that help individuals and organizations navigate life’s transitions with greater joy, resilience, and purpose. Her favorite themes include practical spirituality, spiritual companionship, conscious aging, and guiding thoughtful conversations around end-of-life before a crisis arises. Mabeth delights in creating space for deeper reflection, connection, and growth.

Mabeth holds a JD from Emory University and an MA in Spiritual Care from Loyola University Maryland. She lives with her husband on a farm in northern Baltimore County and finds renewal near the sea.
